Traveling in this Puma XLE Lite travel trailer is fun and easy because of its amenity-packed interior and light-weight structure. This unit provides everything you need for a successful adventure on the road because it contains enough space to sleep three people. This trailer's floorplan has been carefully designed to maximize the travel space and to create a unit that is enjoyable to travel in with things like a queen-size bed in the semi-private bedroom in the front of this trailer and a rear bathroom that adds extra privacy while you get ready each morning. Even the exterior space has been fully utilized with the addition of the pass-through storage area which allows you to tow along larger luggage and camping gear.
Palomino has graciously included with this trailer one year of 24/7 emergency roadside assistance through the Coach-Net RV Technical and Roadside Assistance program, which means that you can travel worry free every time you are on the road. The LED lighting that is located throughout the trailer will keep your eyes and your wallet happy because of the brightness it brings to the trailer and the money it saves you on energy bills. The skylight in the bathroom allows some extra sunshine to add a bit of cheeriness in the morning, and the tinted windows throughout the trailer are helpful in preventing fading of precious items inside.
No High PressureI was very pleased with the staff and their understanding of what type of rv I was interested in. There was no high pressure and were supportive of my buying decision. All of the staff were very friendly. The technician that walked me through the features of my rv was very knowledgeable and helpful. I will return there to have all my service work done if needed. - Cheryl

As demand for the Palomino grew, Mr. Landey felt it would benefit his company, Vanguard Ind., to relocate. With most manufacturers and industry suppliers located in the Elkhart, In. area the move eastward seemed logical. Vanguard Industries settled in the community of Colon in 1972. Once in Colon he began to put his plans in motion. By 1973 he had built the main production facility and within days Palomino tent trailers were rolling out the doors.
In 1976, Vanguard added its own Needle Division, in 1978 its own Metal Fabrication Plant, and has several cold storage facilities. On May 27, 1992, the primary production building and offices were destroyed by fire. By late August, 1992, the first 1993 model Palomino rolled of the line in the new 52,300 sq. ft. facility, which was built on the same site as the previous building had been.
The year 1998 continued to see expansion with the addition of a new 75,000 sq. ft. production facility, and another storage facility. In 2002 Vanguard was purchased by Forest River, Inc. This allowed for rapid growth and the introduction of two new towable lines of travel trailers and fifth wheels, Puma and Sabre by Palomino.
