With exceptional amenities and comfortable features, this Puma XLE Lite travel trailer will be your family's favorite place to spend the weekend! Because this trailer can sleep five people, you will always have room for those you love most, and the 30" x 36" shower in the rear bathroom will give everyone a place to clean up after a long day of adventuring in the woods. After you've fed your hungry bellies with a delicious meal cooked on the three-burner range top, you will enjoy gathering and relaxing in the living area on the sofa and booth dinette while you plan out tomorrow's activities.
With the Puma XLE Lite, Palomino has graciously included one year of 24/7 emergency roadside assistance which means that you can travel worry free every time you are on the road. The LED lighting that is located throughout the Puma XLE Lite will keep your eyes and your wallet happy because of the brightness it brings to the trailer and the money it saves you on energy bills. The skylight in the bathroom allows some extra sunshine to add a bit of cheeriness in the morning, and the tinted windows throughout are helpful in preventing fading of precious items inside.
Everyone Was Easy to Work With.My husband and I just bought a travel trailer from Optimum RV in Ocala today. I have never seen so many people so willing to help us and were not pushy. We dealt with Sue Haberern who was wonderful. When we went back to look at used units Sue was out with a customer so Michael Loving, another sales person, filled in for her. The Sales Mgr, Pete Smith talked to us while we waited for Sue to come back ... More » - Sue

As demand for the Palomino grew, Mr. Landey felt it would benefit his company, Vanguard Ind., to relocate. With most manufacturers and industry suppliers located in the Elkhart, In. area the move eastward seemed logical. Vanguard Industries settled in the community of Colon in 1972. Once in Colon he began to put his plans in motion. By 1973 he had built the main production facility and within days Palomino tent trailers were rolling out the doors.
In 1976, Vanguard added its own Needle Division, in 1978 its own Metal Fabrication Plant, and has several cold storage facilities. On May 27, 1992, the primary production building and offices were destroyed by fire. By late August, 1992, the first 1993 model Palomino rolled of the line in the new 52,300 sq. ft. facility, which was built on the same site as the previous building had been.
The year 1998 continued to see expansion with the addition of a new 75,000 sq. ft. production facility, and another storage facility. In 2002 Vanguard was purchased by Forest River, Inc. This allowed for rapid growth and the introduction of two new towable lines of travel trailers and fifth wheels, Puma and Sabre by Palomino.
